Telkom takes jab at R 49 iBurst offering
2008-03-24
Telkom is hitting out at iBurst’s R 49.00 broadband offering in an advertising campaign.
Telkom is taking aim at iBurst’s R 49.00 ‘broadband offering’ – which offers subscribers 40 MB of usage per month – in an advertising campaign.
The advertisement (iBurst R49 Telkom ad here) states ‘R 49, The price you pay for not reading the fine print’, with the R 49 highlighted in iBurst’s orange color.
The advertisement continues to promote Telkom’s R 199.00 Do Broadband ADSL service which allows for 1 GB of usage per month.
iBurst’s R 49.00 offering has previously come under fire from more informed Internet users who say that the company may catch less informed people into signing a 24 month contract for a service which may not completely serve their needs.
iBurst did not provide comment by the time of publication.
