Larger prepaid data bundles from 8ta

8ta has happy shoppers with their mobile broadband info promotions which offer shoppers 10GB of information on contract for R199 each month and 2GB of pre paid information at R149. These promotional costs from 8ta are far below the standard cellular rates where R150 to R200 per GB has become the standard. Unbeknownst to many folks, 8ta has launched 2 new pre paid information bundles which enhance the company's current 100MB ( R50 ), 250MB ( R100 ), 500MB ( R150 ) and 1GB ( R250 ) packages. The 2 new info bundles are a 2GB bundle priced in the region of R380 and a 5GB bundle priced up at R800. These new pre-paid bundles from 8ta were launched on Thursday last week ( one Sep 2011 ) as a part of the Telkom Business Mobile launch, but unlike plenty of the Telkom Business Mobile products there, the new prepaid bundles are available to customers also. The new pre paid bundles are available to pre-paid, contract and compound customers. These costs are considerably higher than 8ta's 10GB for R199 and 2GB for R149 promotions, raising the question why their standard rates are so higher than their promotional rates. 8ta explained the once-off Net 2GB bundle priced up at R380 was launched as their standard 2GB pre paid offer and is available to all customers on both the 8ta network and MTN rambling.
